Lefton Currituck Beach Lighthouse

This resin lighthouse replica is part of the Lefton Historic American Lighthouse Collection Flashing Beacons series. It was issued in 1999 and comes new in the original packaging.

This lighthouse takes 2 AA batteries to illuminate the lighthouse and the adjacent building.

The Currituck Beach lighthouse was completed in 1875. It is located on the North Carolina coast between the lighthouses at Bodie Island to the south and Cape Henry to the north. Unlike most North Carolina lighthouses, it wasn't painted black and white, but left as unpainted red brick, to distinguish it from the others.
