This Goebel figurine is from Lore’s Blumenkinder collection. It depicts a young boy walking along with a basket slung over his shoulder on a pole. The basket is full of flowers and also contains a rabbit.
This 8.25” tall figurine was designed by Gerhard Bochmann in 1967, although it has an incised date of 1968. It is part of the second edition of Blumenkinder figurines, which were produced in limited quantities of 2,000 each. It also bears the Goebel TMK4 (three-line bee) back stamp.
There is a very hard-to-see flaw in this figurine. One of the leaves hanging over the rear edge of the basket has had its tip chipped off.
