This Boyds Bearstone Collection figurine is designer Dawn Shadle's first-ever Signature Series Bearstone bear. Inspired by her mother, who along with Dawn, fought and survived cancer, “Brenda Jean...Never Give Up Hope” is a reminder that no matter how difficult a situation, we always have hope.

This figurine features the quote “Hope ever urges us on and tells us tomorrow will be better”. It states this quote is from “Tibillus”, but it is misspelled. It is actually from Albius Tibullus, a Roman poet born around the year 54 BC.
